View Profile View Posts 9 Jun, I’m saying that I used to have them, because that’s not how it works now. Since few days I’m experiencing most of the issues you’ve mentioned, but to list a few fancy things that occur on a regular basis: Yesterday I found myself teleported into the black void of nothingness after being struck by a boss attack. Had to quit the session, you can see that phenomenon in my screenshot. On a side note, none of these things happen to me in any of the other games i play online, jumping on the thread with some smart advice like ‘fix your pc’, ‘get a new router’ or ‘change your isp’ is not what I need and I doubt the OP’s different. The BL2 netcode is downright bad imo, and for some reason it’s almost impossible to have a decent game lately. Regardless of that here’s what you can try to improve your BL2 coop experience, although i wouldn’t expect too much from these.

Gamers choose to play as any one of the characters and can team up with their buddies to tackle anything the hostile planet can throw at them. In the sequel, four new playable characters take the leading role, leaving the originals as secondary characters that appear throughout the story. This time, an antagonist named Handsome Jack has come to Pandora in search of a second Vault said to emerge after the opening of the first one.
In his greedy quest for the coveted treasure, Handsome Jack is personally assassinating any Vault Hunter who comes to the planet and steps in his way. Fortunately, his attempted homicide on our heroes fails. The character writing was strong and funny, but the story as a whole fell flat.
Borderlands 2 has finally arrived on the PlayStation Vita. While there are some technical issues that hold the game back if only a little bit, it’s still a blast when you’re looting and shooting on the go!
However sometimes it won’t let you maximize the game and therefore not letting you to access the activation window. A collection of additional troubleshooting steps can be found on the Steam Users’ Forums Fixing performance issues[ edit ] Fixing Performance Issues Some systems, despite exceeding the recommended specs, simply do not run Borderlands well. Even after turning down graphical options, the frame rates can be much lower than would be expected. Taking these steps can help make the game much more responsive and raise frame rates significantly.
If Borderlands is running poorly on an otherwise stout system, try the following: Find UseVsync and set it to True helps with tearing. Another known issue has been with the inclusion of Dynamic Shadows, for some users having this graphical setting turned on causes huge drops in frame rate, no matter the specs of the computer. Turning off this setting can greatly improve performance.

Zer0 can apply a “Death Mark” to enemies, either by performing a melee attack on them or throwing Death Bl0ss0m kunai at them. Marked enemies take increased damage from all sources; usually you just end up finishing them off yourself with more melee attacks, though. Damn You, Muscle Memory! For those who have the habit of reloading after every fight, this can result in losing ammo when reloading a Tediore weapon, since reloading has you throw the gun at the enemy like a grenade.
Very cool, but it takes all the cartridges left in the magazine with it! It’s so bad that even the developers do it during previews. Of course, some players may throw full ones anyway for the damage bonus. Worse yet, the resulting explosion can hurt yourself. A lot, in some cases.

Mar 16, · The only difference is Borderlands 2 has a wider color pallet. The first game consisted mainly of browns. Which was something it was criticized for. And that was something Gearbox aimed to address. So, with Borderlands 2, we get a much more colorful, diverse look at Pandora. Damien_Azreal, Feb 14, #
Random Article Blend Borderlands has the distinction of being perhaps the first RPG shooter that actually felt like a shooter. Now that Gearbox Software has stumbled upon this magical formula, you can hardly blame them for trying not to shake things up too much. They definitely played it safe with Borderlands 2 but fortunately you’ll have fun anyway. The short-hand description for Borderlands is “Diablo with guns. You and up to three friends mow down hordes of enemies and then grab the randomized loot they upchuck all over the ground.
The loot includes weapons, shields, grenade mods and more. Once your bag’s stuffed with loot, you can head to a hub town or vending machine to sell off your unwanted items and resupply. This formula works well, in part, because the loot is so desirable. Each of the playable classes in Borderlands 2 can use every type of gun and shield so it’s uncommon to find loot that’s completely irrelevant to you.
You’ll be drowning in guns within the first hour of the campaign and finding the right one s for your character can be enjoyable. Each gun has randomized statistics, along with a few wild card characteristics like explosive or corrosive bullets.

Share Copy The leveling and experience system of Borderlands 2 is similar to any other game out there. Experience is gained by killing enemies and completing quests. Difficulty of a quest can be checked by pressing [Tab] and then going into your quest log. Note that enemies level with you. Hence if you go back to an earlier area, the enemies there will be of a higher level now.
While the bosses will not revive after leaving and re-entering an area, all the rest of the enemies will. Players usually adopt farming as a means to level up and then have a better shot at a difficult boss or quest. There are a ton of side-quests in the game and some will have to found out by the players themselves. They are quick to do and will grant you more experience than from farming an area. That ultimately means tons of experience points for you; provided you decide to tag along.

This collection has addictive gameplay, up to four player co-op, and a great amount of content that your group of vault hunters will enjoy for hours on end. The Handsome Collection offers Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and a huge amount of content from all the DLC released for both games.
Septeber 18, Price: Official website Steam Amazon There are two basic models for video game sequels. The first is to simply add more content of the type people have come to expect from the previous game, without significantly changing what has already proven successful in the first place. The second is to use the core of the previous game as a starting point for significant tinkering, experimenting with major new gameplay systems and designs that weren’t plausible for one reason or another the last time around.
Most games exist somewhere in a continuum between these two poles, trying to keep some of the old while embracing their fair share of new elements. For better or worse, Borderlands 2 positions itself closer to the “more of the same” pole. This is still the same basic, enjoyable first-person-shooter-meets-RPG-style-character-progression of the first Borderlands, only more so.
The most significant change Borderlands 2 can boast over its predecessor is a cohesive plot that actually hangs together reasonably well and drives the story missions forward at a decent pace. The connective tissue tying the story together is Handsome Jack, an explorer who has leveraged his discovery of a vault full of treasures into an iron-fisted despotic rulership over the powerful Hyperion corporation and the planet of Pandora.
Jack is an entirely believable villain, with just the right mix of charm, sanctimony, and psychosis coming through in both his actions and frequent radio banter with the protagonists. The effort to unseat Jack and infiltrate his vault provides a strong focal point for the game’s story missions, which do a good job of integrating the playable characters from the first Borderlands as key supporting characters.
